The Role

We now have the opportunity for a Cost Controller to join our Projects Controls Team on a permanent full-time basis. Based at our CBD Head Office, you will be working collaboratively and closely with the entire team.

  • Setting up and maintaining cost budgets for projects based on tender estimates
  • Preparation of internal and client invoicing and supporting documentation
  • Maintain all cost commitments, including review of internal and third-party costs
  • Prepare monthly project cost and revenue forecasts and assist in producing monthly Contract Status Reports
  • Provide cost control support and assistance, including project close out and lessons learnt
  • Input client variations and maintain current contract value and budgets
  • Review of requisitions and commitments for compliance to project cost coding
  • Prepare consolidated project invoicing forecasts
  • Assist with office and site timekeeping systems and reporting

 

What You will Need

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:  

  • Tertiary qualification in finance/accounting, engineering, project management, or related discipline
  • Post-graduate experience in a cost controller or similar role
  • Understanding and application of project cost management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
  • High levels of computer literacy including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reporting systems like Pronto, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is highly desirable
