About the Role

We are seeking several experienced Mechanical Fitters to support current and upcoming shutdown, maintenance and project works across Australia’s largest mine sites. In this casual FIFO role, you’ll access consistent work across 90+ client sites, competitive rates and genuine long-term career opportunities within a well-established national contractor.

Get hands-on with crushers, conveyors and fixed plant equipment supporting large-scale mining operations. As a Mechanical Fitter, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Executing shutdown, planned and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant and materials handling equipment
• Overhauling and maintaining crushers, conveyors, screens, bins, feeders, reclaimers and train load-out systems
• Completing component change-outs including idlers, pulleys, rollers, gearboxes and drive assemblies
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Working safely and in strict accordance with permit-to-work, isolation and site safety procedures

What You’ll Need

We are looking for qualified and safety-focused Mechanical Fitters who thrive in fast-paced shutdown and maintenance environments.

Essential:

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (AU/NZ recognised)
• Working at Heights & Confined Space (within 2 years)
• Construction White Card
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Valid Australian work rights
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

Highly Desirable:

• Previous mining experience
• Client inductions (Rio Tinto, Fortescue, BHP, etc.)
• Additional trade or high-risk tickets
